I love this question! And I get asked about it in so many workshops. It's a common misconception that you need to be Fiery Red to be a strong leader - bold, fast-paced, decisive. While those qualities can be helpful, they’re not the only path to leadership.
I’ve seen some of the most effective leaders lead with Earth Green energy — grounded, empathetic, calm, and values-led. They build deep trust, listen actively, and create safe spaces where people feel respected and motivated. Leading with empathy and transparency can be incredibly powerful.
But here's the key: it’s not about which Insights Discovery colour you lead with — it’s about self-awareness. Great leaders understand their natural preferences, and then consciously flex their style to meet the needs of the moment.
An Earth Green leader might need to dial up Fiery Red to make tough calls, Cool Blue for structured planning, or Sunshine Yellow to energise a team. That ability to adapt while staying authentic is what makes a leader truly impactful.
So yes — Earth Green can absolutely be a leadership strength. When paired with self-awareness and flexibility, it becomes a real superpower.
